Three Kings Monument, also referred to as the Anusawari Sam Kasat, is a top-rated tourist attraction located in the heart of Chiang Mai city, Thailand. The monument consists of three bronze sculptures of the three founders of Chiang Mai - King Mengrai of Lanna, King Ramkamhaeng of Sukhothai and King Ngam Muang of Payao. It was constructed in 1984 to immortalize the works of the three kings in the city. Also, the large space in front of the monument, known as The Three Kings Monument Square, serves as a venue for various events and festivals throughout the year. The monument stands just in front of the old provincial administration building which is now home to the Chiang Mai City Art & Cultural Center.

The monument is reproduced in different forms at several other places of the Chiang Mai city.

It is located at a very close distance from the sacred Big Pagoda Temple.

As part the historians, the three kings featured in the monument were very close friends. King Mengrai was looking for a land for building the capital of his Lanna Kingdom. He finally chose the spot (Nopburi Sri Nahkon Ping Chiang Mai, which is now known as Chiang Mai) and went on to build the new city with the help of his two friends King Ramkhamhaeng and King Ngam Muang.

The monument commemorates the eternal friendship between the three revered kings of the northern Thailand. It is also considered as a symbol of power in the entire country.

The monument is revered as a shrine among the common people living in the city. The people come and lay flowers, incense and candles at the feet of the statues on a regular basis.

The three bronze statues are dressed in royal costumes from the 14th century.

The Three Kings Monument Square is surrounded by a number of restaurants that serve mouth-watering western foods at very reasonable prices.

The monument is open throughout the whole day. However, 05:00 pm - 07:00 pm is the most preferred time to visit the site.
