Here's a list of some of the greatest Bengali filmmakers working today.

Bengali film industry or Tollywood has always been recognized for producing good quality cinema. Thanks to the late filmmakers like Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Ritwik Ghatak, Rajen Tarafdar, Tapan Sinha, Rituporno Ghosh, Buddhadev Dasgupta and others, this industry has released a number of movies which are of international standard. While the present scenario is not as good it was back then, there are still some Bengali filmmakers who are working with extreme passion and consistently coming up with pathbreaking movies. Let's take a look at some of them.

Goutam Ghose: Goutam Ghose is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker who is still equally passionate about cinema, even after working for more than four decades. Best works: 'Padma Nadir Majhi', 'Moner Manush' etc.

Aparna Sen: Recipient of nine National Film Awards and a Padma Shri, Aparna Sen is another legendary filmmaker who brilliantly explores various complex yet important topics on screen. Best works: 'Paramitar Akdin', 'Parama' etc.
