Garga Dam offers picturesque views of the nature
Garga Dam was constructed in the 50s and is located about 12 km away from the central city. It's a tributary of the Damodar River, and provides water to the steel plant and also the local people of Bokaro city. Parasnath Hill is a sacred site for the Jain community
Parasnath Hill - named after Lord Parshvanath the 23rd Tirthankar - is one of the most significant religious sites of the Jain community in India. It's commonly known as Shri Sammet Shikhar Teerth and attracts devotees from all over the country. Located at a height of 4400 feet, it offers a panoramic view to visitors. The entire area houses a number of temples, some of which are standing there for centuries. The highest peak here is Sikharji, which is believed to be the place where Parshvanath attained salvation.
