4 ancient civilizations that have ever existed

These are the beginning of humans living into normal lives.

For the most part of our lives, we have been clueless about the fact that there once existed people and civilizations that were torch-bearers of humanity and invention. Here are some of the oldest civilizations that we didn’t know about.

The Mesopotamian Civilization

The Mesopotamian ciCivilizationeaning land between rivers in ancient Greece, was prevalent from 3500 BC to 750 BC. It was originally located northeast by the Zagros Mountains and southeast by the Arabian plateau, which is in the current countries of Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. This is the oldest civilization and is said to be the first place where civilized society truly began to take shape. Though the ability to create art was invented way before the Mesopotamians, during this civilization it was refined. The civilization from here prospered into modern-day Iraq, Sumer, and the Assyria Highlands.

The Maya Civilization

Originally located around present-day Yucatan, the Maya Civilization was set between the periods of 2600 BC to 900 AD. In the current scenario, this civilization would be in Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Campeche, Tabasco, and Chiapas in Mexico and south through Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, and Honduras. The highlight of this civilization is their gift of the complex understanding of astronomy. It was by 700 BC that the Mayans had invented their personal system of writing which was then used to create solar calendars carved in stone. The Mayans and Aztecs are known to have built pyramids, which are larger than those in Egypt.

The Ancient Greek Civilization

Greek civilization was prevalent from 2700 BC to 479 BC. It was originally spread across Italy, Sicily, North Africa, and as far west as France but currently the location falls in Greece. Some of the major highlights of this civilization are establishing the concepts of democracy, the Senate, the Olympics, modern geometry, biology, and physics. Though the Greeks don’t hold the title of oldest civilization they sure were the most influential of all. What can’t be ignored are the great philosophers such as Pythagoras, Archimedes, Socrates, Euclid, Plato, Aristotle, and Alexander the Great to name a few.

The Aztec Civilization

The Aztec civilization was set from 1345 AD to 1521 AD. It was originally spread across the South Central region of pre-Columbian Mexico and currently is in Mexico. It is believed that around the 1200s and early 1300s, people lived in Tenochtitlan, Texcoco, and Tlacopan. The highlight of the Aztec civilization is the language Nahuatl became so huge.

A few other ancient civilizations are The Incan Civilization, The Chinese Civilization, The Indus Valley Civilization, The Ancient Egyptian Civilization, The Persian Civilization, and The Roman Civilization.
