4 Bizarre food museums around the world

Visit these unusual food museums around the world.

Are you a person who chooses food over travel? Do you decide what you are going to eat for dinner over breakfast? If you answered yes, then chances are that you are a hardcore foodie. Food plays an integral part of a country’s culture and tradition. And what better way to explore that than a food museum.

Here we give you a list of some of the most bizarre food museums around the world.

Museum of Ice Cream, San Francisco

Do you know everything about ice creams? Then this museum will be heaven on earth for you. Dedicated to the much-beloved dessert, the museums feature various exhibits that hope to indulge all five of your sense. They also have colourful presentations on the history of ice creams. Not only that, but you can try new flavours of ice cream including gooey peanut butter, tropical mango and more.

Cup Noodles Museum, Japan

A bowl of instant noodles is an emotion. It has been the perfect companion from midnight hostel cravings to comfort food during movie sessions. And what more could we ask for than an entire museum dedicated to it. The Cup Noodles Museum in Japan pays homage to Momofuku Ando, the inventor of instant noodles in 1958. Take a stroll along the Instant Ramen Tunnel and then walk through the fascinating Cup Noodles factory in the museum that lets you create your own cup noodles from scratch.

Dessert Museum, Philippines

With eight lip-smacking sugar-filled rooms, the Dessert Museum is brightly and colourfully pink where you get a chance to run through a candy forest, swim in sprinkles and act like children. Of course, they also let you have a taste of their sample doughnuts, candies, cupcakes and more. At the end of the tour, you will most certainly have a cavity but also have the best day of your life.

Frietmuseum, Belgium

Belgium has an entire museum celebrating our love for French fries. Eddy Van Belle founded it in 2008 and is the only museum in the world paying tribute to our favourite appetizer. The three floors of the museum trace the history of fries with artworks, making machines and other displays showcasing the fun behind fries. The basement floor of the museum has a café dedicated to selling varied styles of special fries.

Time to explore the world of food more deeply.
