Former Miss Universe and actress Lara Dutta made her debut in the Hindi film industry with Andaaz, which released in 2000 and also starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Akshay Kumar. In fact, the stunning actress also won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Since then, she has starred in several films including No Entry (2005) and Housefull (2010), which have been successful at the box office.

Now the actress has made her foray into the digital world by starring in several OTT projects. She started off with Hundred in 2020 and she was last seen in a web show Kaun BanegiShikharwati, which also featured Naseeruddin Shah and Soha Ali Khan apart from Kritika Kamra and Anya Singh.

Andaaz

Dutta entered into Bollywood with this Raj Kanwar directorial. The film’s story revolves around Raj, a young man who falls in love with Kajal, his best friend. However, she does not seemingly share the same feelings. Although Raj decides to move on, he does not really forget the love he has for his best friend. Dutta starred in the film as Kajal and made a mark.

Bell Bottom

Reuniting with her frequent co-star Akshay Kumar, the actress starred in this action thriller, which is Inspired by true events. Set in the 1980s, the film follows the story of an Indian airline that gets hijacked. Dutta played the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to the T and her act as the nation leader who strives to maintain composure left everyone impressed. In fact, her physical transformation for the role almost made her unrecognisable.

Billu

Sharing the screen with the late Irrfan Khan, Dutta featured in this Priyadarshan directorial, a story of a poor barber named Billu. When Billu realises his past connection with a renowned movie star who comes to his village to shoot, the barber then becomes the most sought after man. The actress played Billu’s wife Bindiya in the 2009 film, an adaptation of the Malayalam film Katha Parayumpol (2007).

Hundred

In her debut web series, Dutta starred as ACP Saumya Shukla, an ambitious policewoman who teams up with a young woman with terminal illness with a wish to live her life to the fullest in her left over 100 days.
