Originated in America, Zucchini is a summer squash belonging to the Cucurbitaceae plant family, along with melons, spaghetti squash, and cucumbers. It comes in yellow, light green, and green colours and are also known as courgette.  Zucchinis are small summer squash with numerous seeds, and the shape resembles a ridged cucumber.
