Does the thought of fixing your car on your own give you goosebumps? Not anymore!

Imagine one fine day you wake up, and it is the day to buy your dream car! The first test drive is a special bonding moment between you and the vehicle. Besides the freedom where you race with winds, owning a car brings significant responsibilities. Among them is fixing your vehicle in case of emergency! Nervous yet? Don't be! Here are some of the changes you can fix up without a sweat!

Replace Engine Air Filter-

Make sure you inspect and replace air filters. This may sound like flying a rocket, but it is simple, really. All you need to do is unclip the filter box and remove the filter. Hold light and see if 50% of light is blocked by the filter. If it is opaque, replace it with a new one. If not, place it back and screw it back.

Replace Pcv Valve-

The positive ventilation valve regulates the flow of flammable vapours to be burnt safely by the engine. It prevents catastrophic engine damage. With time they accumulate carbon buildup and loosens up to put your engine at risk. It is essential to replace it at intervals. All you need to do is wriggle the valve out of the rubber grommet and disconnect it from the vacuum hose. Replace it with a new one, and you are good to go.

Gas Lifts-

Changing Gas Lifts is relatively simple. All you need to do is buy it from a store and replace it. Some styles unbolt metric sockets and while others have a ball and socket joint connected with springs. You will need to shove a flat blade and unclip the cylinder over the ball stud.

Replacing Non-Headlight Lights-

Lights and signalling are essential for your car. Remove the light cover by unscrewing it and prying the lens. Pull the bulb out of the socket while covering your hands with a towel or gloves. Push the new gloves and reinstall the new lens.

Touch Up Chipped Auto Paint-

Rusting is a problem every car owner will know. With early signs of chipping paint, make sure you touch up right away. Clean up the chip with wax and grease and let it dry. Do not add more colour than necessary and recoat the wax after 30 days.
