5 Effective Snoring Remedies: How To Stop Snoring?

Snoring is a serious health issue that requires medical attention!

About 75% of people with nasal congestion later develop heart complications. People with nasal congestion usually have difficulty breathing during sleep, a condition known as obstructive sleep apnea. Our country still lacks awareness about snoring.  In many cases, however, snoring is actually an indication of many future physical complications. If you or your partner has trouble sleeping due to snoring, you should seek medical advice. In this way the risk of major health hazards in the future can be avoided in many cases

Quit Smoking:

Smoking is one of the main causes of respiratory complications. In many cases, a special tissue in the nose of chain smokers, known as turbinates, swells as a result of excessive smoking. This causes respiratory complications. Therefore, the tendency to snore is more common among smokers. As a side effect of smoking, if your nasal congestion concern is severe, it is best to quit smoking.

Sleep On Your Side:

When we lie on our backs, our tongue and the inner ventral part of the mouth fall on the inner wall of the throat which produces a kind of vibrating sound from the mouth.  In this case, doctors recommend lying on the side. Also, when sleeping, you can lift the head by placing two / three pillows on the back of the head, thus keeping the airway's tract inside the nose clear from obstruction, which prevents snoring.

Reduce Excess Weight:

In many cases, it has been observed that a person who has never snored before suddenly starts snoring since he became obese. As we gain weight, the excess fat that accumulates around our necks puts pressure on the inside of our throats, increasing the tendency of obese people to snore during sleep.

Avoid Sleeping Pills:

Consult your doctor to see if you can stop taking sleeping pills. Taking sleeping pills loosens the muscles in the throat during sleep, which can lead to nasal congestion, causing snoring problems.

Get Surgical Help:

If the cartilage inside your nose is drifted or damaged due to a birth condition or an accident, breathing problems may occur because of the unevenness of the nostrils. Patients with septum deviations tend to breathe through their mouth. Doctors recommend septoplasty to correct the bones and cartilage inside the nose, which is effective in curing snoring.
