5 Health Tips For Foodie People

Don't stop eating, start working

Are you a food lover? Then you must be tired of being told about your health and fitness. People often think that it is impossible to stay fit and healthy when you love food. But that is not very true. Here are some tips to be healthy despite being a foodie.

Eat in colour

It’s not a secret anymore that we eat with our eyes. Because colour attracts! It makes the plate visually stunning. This is the reason people can’t resist pulling out their phone to take a photo of their plate. A colourful plate is a lot more exciting. The more greens, the prettier the plate and the healthier the meal!

Eat lots of fruits and veggies

There must be fresh fruit on your menu. It's very important to eat a variety of fruit and veg every day.  You can simply just chop a banana over the breakfast cereal, or swap the usual mid-morning snack for a piece of fresh fruit! Have some dates while scrolling your phone, yes it is that easy.

Variety is the key

As a foodie, you must like to try new foods, new combinations, and new preparation techniques. It makes the food interesting. You can use different ingredients, vegetables and grains that you don’t normally eat into your diet. It will keep the food exciting and healthier. You must know that balance is key, that eating too much of one thing is not good for health. So there must be variety in our meals. Each week try something new with old ingredients and veggies. It will help you to cope up with boredom and feel productive and stay healthy.

Stay hydrated

You need to drink plenty of water to stop getting dehydrated. Drinking six to eight glasses of water is essential for every day. This is in addition to the fluid you get from the food you eat.  You can drink any kind of fluids like coconut water, but water, lower fat milk and lower sugar drinks, including tea and coffee.

Do not skip breakfast

Skipping breakfast is a very common thing in our daily lives. Even if you love to eat, you don't always have the time, especially in the morning. But you should not skip breakfast no matter how busy you are! A whole grain lower sugar cereal with milk and fruit sliced over the top is a tasty and healthy breakfast. It can help you get the nutrients you need for the rest of the day.
