Goa has several gorgeous islands which offer unforgettable experiences to the visitors.

Goa, a tiny state located on the Southwestern coast of India, is a charming destination which attracts mostly the youngsters craving some fun activities amidst the laps of nature. The state, along with several other attractions, is also home to a number of islands packed with thrill, liveliness and excitement. Also, on the other side, these offer spectacular natural views which leave the visitors in a beautiful trance. Here, you can either participate in a vibrant party, indulge in some water sports, explore the local cuisines or even take a stroll along the secluded pathways. Below, we have described about some of the most majestic islands which you simply cannot afford to miss in Goa.

Divar Island: Divar Island, located at a distance of 10 kms from Panjim, is a wonderful site offering an escape from the hustle - bustle of city life. The area is home to a lot of villas reflecting the Portuguese style of architecture. Also, there are numerous traditional churches where you can visit to explore the Goan culture. Here, you can also indulge in some adrenaline-filled water sports such as snorkeling, scuba diving etc.

Chorao Island: Chorao is a large island located 5 kms away from the Panjim city. This is abode to a number of Portuguese styled churches along with massive villas, sacred Hindu temples, solitary graveyards and more. Also, there are dense forests packed with exotic flora and fauna. But its major highlight is the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary containing more than 500 species of migratory birds.

Conco Island: Conco Island, also called as the Monkey Island, is a wooded island located in the Canacona region, South Goa. The island spreads over a 5-acre green land and is surrounded by the pristine Arabian sea. Here, you can do a lot of water activities such as snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving etc. Also, make sure not to miss the delicious cuisine available at the local food stalls.

Butterfly Island: Butterfly Island, located at a distance from the mainland, is a secluded area resembling the shape of the wings of a butterfly. The site is also known as the 'Honeymoon Island' as it serves as a brilliant honeymoon destination. There are several beaches where you can spend hours with your loved one. Also, you can indulge in some activities like boat riding.

São Jacinto Island: São Jacinto is a relatively underrated island located in the southern region of Goa. The island, named after the iconic St. Jacinto's Church, is absolutely packed with lush greenery. It is home to numerous centuries-old houses, churches and several other structures. Also, there's an old Portuguese lighthouse which offers a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean.
