Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden is maintained under the Botanical Survey of India, of Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. Founded in 1787, the garden spreads over 109 hectares of land and is home to more than 12,000 different specimens. The main highlight here is The Great Banyan, which is an enormous banyan tree.
