5 Signs that say you are not moving enough

It’s time to say goodbye to the sedentary lifestyle if any of these signs speak to you.

When you want to employ healthy habits, the first thing you do is change your eating habits and add more nutritious food to your diet. Like food, even regular exercising is important.

But how to know if the daily walk from your bed or couch to the fridge is not enough as an exercise? Below are some signs that say you are not moving enough.

  • Your sleep is suffering
Even after drinking two cups of coffee, do you feel sleepy? That means your body is not getting enough sleep. And the reason for less sleep can be you don’t have enough movement throughout the day.

When you exercise, your body gets tired and hence, you fall asleep faster. Additionally, exercising also improved the quality of your sleep, resulting in you feeling fresh the next morning.

  • Losing focus
If you start to space out during your meetings or want to scroll through social media when you should be working, then you are losing focus on daily activities. The reason? Not enough daily exercises.

Regular exercise can pump up your brain and improve attention span and alertness. Additionally, it also makes it easier for you to absorb new information.

  • Constant mood swings
Are you feeling more cranky than normal? Are smaller things annoying you way more than it used to? There is a high chance that these mood swings are due to lack of exercise.

A workout will be a great mood-enhancer, as it increases the blood circulation in your brain and makes you react rationally to everyday annoyances.

  • Stiff joints
Stiff neck and aching joints is not only a sign of old age or your body asking for a break. They can also be the cause of lack of regular exercising.

Exercising even for 30 minutes a day can strengthen and stabilize your joint muscles and bones, which alleviates stiffness and makes you feel better.

  • Feel tired and sluggish
Are you feeling lethargic and sluggish all day long? Sitting on your couch or lying down on your bed all day can reduce your energy even further. But not exercising can also make your body lethargic.

A daily run or exercise routine will give you energy boost, which will help you get through your daily to-do list faster.

Do you relate to any of these signs? If yes, then it is time to move around more.
