5 simple home remedies for skin redness

Skin redness, also known as rosacea, is a chronic skin issue which affects people of all age groups. It usually causes red spots along with pimples and rashes on several areas of your skin. As par the dermatologists, these occur due to sun exposure, stress, strong winds, poor diet, unhygienic lifestyle and a lot more. First, prepare a cup of green tea and cool it down in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes. Now, take a fresh cloth, soak it in the tea and then gently massage it over the affected areas. For best results, do the process on a regular basis.

Honey: Honey contains humectant which adds extra moisture to the skin, which further results in improving the symptoms of rosacea. All you need to do is massage some raw organic honey on the affected areas, leave it for 30 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. Use it thrice per week to get the maximum results.

Aloe Vera: Aloe vera is widely considered as a powerful remedy to treat almost all kinds of skin issues. The extract is rich in antioxidant, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties which reduce the symptoms of rosacea. Apply the aloe vera gel directly to the affected areas, leave the gel until it dries and then wash off with cold water. Repeat the process three times every week.

Essential Oils: Lavender, thyme, rose, tea tree etc. essential oils are absolutely packed with anti-inflammatory properties which lighten the redness on your skin. Mix some essential oil with a few drops of carrier oils, apply it over the affected areas and gently massage using your fingertips. Let it sit for a couple of hours and then rinse off with cold water.

Oatmeal: Oatmeal is not only an amazing breakfast option, but also an effective remedy to treat skin redness. It soothes the skin and reduces acne, rashes, pimples and more. First, prepare a thick paste by mixing oatmeal and water. Apply the mixture to your face, leave it for 15 minutes and then wash off with cold water. Use the remedy three times every week.

Apart from these, you can also use yogurt, chamomile, cucumber, baking soda, apple cider vinegar etc.
