It's a good idea to save money wherever you can get so that you may put it toward retirement or savings when you have a kid. Even if you're just starting out as a parent, certain purchases are worth the money, but many others will merely take up room in your house and be a pain to get rid of in the future. The following is a list of infant goods you should avoid purchasing and other options you should consider.
Changing Table
It's safe to say that this is a piece of nursery furniture you can do without. Having one in your baby's room takes up a lot of space, which might be expensive. And the truth is, you won't need to go to the nursery every time you change a baby's diaper since you'll be doing so much of it during the day.
Baby Detergent
You'll spend a lot of time washing piles of spit-up-covered garments in the laundry room when your kid comes. That never seems to stop, does it? Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to use an expensive, specialized detergent to wash your baby's garments. A free and clear product purchased from the supermarket shelf will save you money and time because you can wash your baby's clothing with those of your entire family. Choosing a "free and clear" baby product does not include any perfumes or colors that may irritate the baby's skin.
Baby Bedding
You don't have to spend a lot on crib bedding to give your nursery a fashionable design. Experts feel that crib bumpers may lead to SIDS, and the blanket/quilt that comes with the set is enormous and heavy for a young baby.
Food Processors
When making baby food, you don't really need a food processor. A standard little food processor will perform the same functions even when your child has shifted from baby food. Another option is to use a blender, which is particularly popular among parents because of its tiny size and ease of maintenance.
Diaper Bags
Even though you'll need a bag to transport your baby's belongings, you don't require one of the many exorbitantly priced diaper bags available. Simply promoting a product for children might raise the price. And although some diaper bags may be beautiful to look at, most of them lack elements that make them particularly baby-friendly.
