AjinkyaRahane made his T20 International debut against England in Manchester in August 2011. He struck 61 off just 39 deliveries while batting at a strike rate of 156.41. Rahane had a 39 run partnership with Parthiv Patel and took India to 165. Despite this effort, India lost the match by 6 wickets.
Rahane could not go on to have a remarkable T20 International career and managed just 375 runs from 20 matches at an average of 20.3.
