50+ score for India in first T20I batting outing

Five Indian batsmen have struck half centuries in their first T20I batting opportunity, including AjinkyaRahane and Rohit Sharma. 61 AjinkyaRahane v Eng Manchester 2011 AjinkyaRahane made his T20 International debut against England in Manchester in August 2011. He struck 61 off just 39 deliveries while batting at a strike rate of 156.41. Rahane had a 39 run partnership with Parthiv Patel and took India to 165. Despite this effort, India lost the match by 6 wickets.

Rahane could not go on to have a remarkable T20 International career and managed just 375 runs from 20 matches at an average of 20.3.

56 Ishan Kishan v Eng Ahmedabad 2021 Ishan Kishan recently made his T20 debut against England and showed what he was capable of right away. Kishan smashed 56 off just 32 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes while batting at a strike rate of 175 and changed the momentum of the match. As a result, India won the game by 7 wickets.

50* Rohit Sharma v SA Durban 2007 Rohit Sharma played his maiden T20I knock in a high pressure match against South Africa in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007. 50 Robin Uthappa v Pak Durban 2007 The first time Robin Uthappa batted in a T20I was in a group match against Pakistan in the 2007 T20 World Cup. He walked out at number 4 after the early departure of GautamGambhir and VirenderSehwag and saved the day for India. It was his 50 run knock which helped India post a respectable total of 141.

Uthappa played a total of 13 T20 Internationals for Indian and scored 249 runs at an average of 24.90 and a strike rate of 118.

50* Surya Kumar Yadav v Eng Ahmedabad 2021 Just like Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav recently made an impact against England, scoring a half century in the fourth match of the T20 series in Ahmedabad. His 57 runs off just 31 deliveries were instrumental in India winning the 4th T20I by 8 runs. Yadav struck 6 fours and 3 sixes while batting at a strike rate of 183.87.
