6 Reasons Why We Keep Clothes We Will Never Wear Again

Let’s start reorganizing our lives. The first step to that is reorganizing our closets and it is the hardest. Why so? Let’s look back to the reasons we hold back our old clothes even if we would never wear them again.

You are dieting and hoping to be back to the shape where you can wear your favourite dress comfortably once again. Your closet is full of dresses in a variety of sizes, like small size when you will be so thin, it will fit you nicely or medium; it is highly probable that you will get to that size soon. There are a few bigger sizes dresses also, for the possibility that you will again gain weight.

If you are not dieting and if your weight is constant for the last several years, you don’t have to keep clothes which don’t fit you anymore. Only during pregnancy of women, their shape constantly changes and the possibility of going back to their original shape and size is remote. They should get rid of their old clothes, so that their closets are slim and organized.

Sometimes we buy some very expensive clothes which are no longer suitable. Even then we can’t let them go as we feel guilty about them. You should not; if it was a good quality dress, it should not get faded or damaged with time and should be usable. If not, we must get rid of them and vow not to buy clothes on impulse.

Sometimes we buy clothes feeling they are ‘must wear’ as we have seen in advertisements. Afterwards, we feel that they are not suitable for our body. Please refrain from buying clothes by others’ choice.

Sometimes we buy clothes for a special event and these event-based dresses clutter our closets. Just buy versatile dresses and don’t be afraid to wear a dress for more than one occasion.

Sometimes we buy dresses but don’t wear them as we feel they will lose their shine if we wear them often. If it is a good dress it will last wearing. So, wear them with love.

The dress is a gift from someone you love. If you don't like it just dispose of it discreetly, so that you don't offend that person. Wear the dress you love, but not the other way round.

These are some steps for organizing your overstuffed closet.
