7 Alia Bhatt films that you might enjoy during a Sunday binge

We bring you a list of the actress’ films that are now streaming on various OTT platforms

Alia Bhatt has made a huge mark in the film industry ever since she made her debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year in 2012. And now her latest film GangubaiKathiawadi, after a two-month-long theatrical run, is now streaming on Netflix since April 26.

So apart from that, if you wish to see any Alia Bhatt films any time soon on OTT platforms, we bring you a list:

Sadak 2 (2020)

The film, starring Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, is now streaming on Disney+Hotstar. Sadak 2 talks about the blind faith that still leads this country and is a remake of the original Sadak, which starred Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in lead roles.

Kalank (2019)

With an ensemble cast of Alia, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Varun Dhawan, Kalank is set against the backdrop of pre-independence India and the partition. With themes of love, passion and betrayal, Kalank is now available on Amazon Prime Video.

Gully Boy (2019)

With inspiration from the lives of Indian rappers Divine and Naezy, Gully Boy features Alia along with Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Verma and others. It follows the life of Murad, a rapper from the slums of Dharavi and Alia plays his love interest, Safeena, a feisty woman. You can watch the film on Amazon Prime.

Raazi (2018)

Based on Calling Sehmat, a novel by Harinder Singh Sikka, this Alia Bhatt features her in the role of an Indian Spy Sehmat, who is married off to a Pakistan Army family. Co-starring RajitKapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Amruta Khanvilkar and others, the film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Dear Zindagi (2016)

Alia’s character in the film is an acutely insufferable person because of her traumas. However, after a chance encounter with Dr Jehangir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan), she ends up starting therapy which makes her life better and happier. The film is now streaming on Netflix.

Udta Punjab (2016)

Based on the drug abuse incidents amongst the youth of Punjab, the film, which is now on Netflix, also stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. Alia acted her role of a village girl with finesse.

Kapoor & Sons (2016)

The Shakun Batra rom-com focuses on the family complexities and relationships. Co-starring Siddarth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, and Ratna Pathak Shah, it is now available on Netflix.
