  1. Polygala Irregularis-
Locally known as milkwort, the herb grows both annually and perennially. The gorgeous flowers bloom in July to august, and colour ranges from the blue, white and pink tone and bloom at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. The slashing of virgin forests for agriculture in Gujrat has harmed the growth of the plant to a great extent.
  1. Lotus Corniculatus-
The lotus corniculatus is a rare plant from the leguminous family. The tiny yellow flowers develop in a circle and grab attention from a distance. They grow in the wild and can be spread to dense foliage. They bloom all year round in Gujarat, and are also called bird’s foot.
  1. Amentoraxus Assamica-
Also known as Assam catkin yew, they are shrubs that belong to the deciduous forests in Assam. They are indigenous to Indian coniferous plants and will be found thriving in the hills of Turoo, Delei Valley and Dafla.
  1. Psilotum Nudum-
A rare fern that thrives without a root system and leaf is used locally to make broomsticks. The excreted spores are used to make the powder that is used by the natives of the place. Not only does the plant look unique, the properties it holds makes people want to let it grow for their economic value in Karnataka.
  1. Diospyros Celibica-
Also known as the ebony tree, the flowering tree produces the best food for carving furniture. The 20 meters high tree is a native of Karnataka suburbs, but the unchecked felling of the tree for commercial use has made the sight of the species very rare.
  1. Acacia Planifrons-
Popularly known as umbrella thorn, the shrub is a native of Tamil Nadu. The plant is used as fodder and can also be cultivated for commercial use. The full-grown plant resembles an open umbrella and gives you shade from the scorching heat.
  1. Chlorophytum Tuberosum-
This endangered plant is also called musli, belongs to the liliaceous family. It is a native of the Indian subcontinent and has a high ayurvedic demand and is believed to increase physical strength.
