Even if your hands get numb from making snowballs, it's still loads of fun to go out and play there in the snow with your friends. Furthermore, if you're anything like us, you're probably already researching potential locations in India to experience snow. We also understand the crushing disappointment of traveling there in the expectation of enjoying the snow just to have it fail you. As a result, we compiled a list of the best places to visit in India during the winter, where you can count on seeing snow. So come with me, and we'll see it through.

Manali

Snowfall in Manali is all but guaranteed by early November. Manali is a popular place in Himachal Pradesh for several reasons, including the chance to see snowfall. You may watch the snow fall on the mountains from the window of a hotel or homestay in Old Manali, or you can warm up with a cup of coffee at one of the town's trendy cafés. In addition, Solang Valley is a fantastic destination for thrill-seekers since it is home to a wide variety of exciting sports, including skiing.

Mussoorie

Mussoorie, another prominent tourist destination in Uttarakhand, is a great place to witness snowfall. However, if you want to see a significant quantity of snowfall, a trip to Mussoorie between the middle of December and the middle of February is your best chance. Winter visitors may enjoy all of Mussoorie's sights, but something other than a stroll along Mall Road while it's snowing.

Shimla

No city in the world can compete with Shimla as a winter vacation destination. So, if you're hoping to see snow visiting Himachal Pradesh, Shimla won't let you down. Between November and February is the best time to visit Shimla for snow, but you should be prepared for the city to be somewhat crowded because many others share your opinion that Shimla is the best spot to enjoy the snow in Himachal.

Gulmarg

Making snowmen & snowballs is fun, but winter offers much more. Snow plays a crucial part in attracting skiers from all over the world to Kashmiri places like Gulmarg. Not only does Gulmarg have the most incredible slopes in India, but it also has one of India's tallest and oldest cable car projects: the Gulmarg Gondola.

Auli

If you want to see snowfall in winter and go skiing or snowboarding in India, your best chance is Auli in Uttarakhand, which is just second to Gulmarg. Beginning at Joshimath, visitors may take one of India's most extended cable car trips. Views of the Himalayas, including India's second-highest peak, Nanda Devi, can be seen from Auli, making it a popular tourist destination (7816 m). During January and February, Auli receives its annual snowfall.

Dhanaulti

Dhanaulti is the finest spot to visit in the winter, and while it has yet to become as well-known as its neighbor, Mussoorie, it still offers beautiful scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. The town of Dhanaulti is perfect for a vacation with loved ones. Unfortunately, Dhanaulti might be hit with a snowstorm as early as December. Even though it is still relatively unknown, the area does experience a large influx of winter tourists. Therefore, it is wise to make hotel reservations in advance.

Narkanda

Narkanda has little chance of becoming the finest site to observe snow in the winter because it is usually only a stopping point on the way to other, more exciting places in Himachal. However, while December is the most common snowfall, it has been seen to occur as early as November. In addition, the fact that you can go skiing in Narkanda is also helping to boost its profile.
