Activities That Promote Healthy Gallbladder

The human body has many organs and every organ performs a different task. There is an organ called the gallbladder, a small pear-shaped present on the right side of the abdomen, just beneath your liver. The gallbladder contains bile which is a digestive fluid required to digest the food and it releases into the small intestine.

Problems like gallstone and cancer are associated with the gallbladder and therefore it is recommended to keep good care of it. There are many ways to keep your gallbladder happy and healthy, some of them are -

Whole grains contain rough fiber which lowers the bad cholesterol. It keeps the heart healthy and protect from gallstone too. Fiber keeps your digestive system moving and flush out the bile from your body. Try to eat more high fiber foods like oatmeal, barley, bulgur and whole grain bread and pasta.

Consume Vitamin C

Experts think that vitamin c is essential to keep the gallbladder away from stone. People who consume vitamin c are less likely to get gallbladder diseases rather than those who eat less. Many fruits and veggies contain vitamin c like strawberries, kiwi, broccoli and other citrus fruits and it is advisable to have them.

Drink Water

Drinking 8 glasses of water in a day is extremely important for the human body but for some people, it is a task. Drinking an adequate amount of water keeps your body clean and hydrated. Also, help in emptying the organ and keeps bile from building up. It helps to protect the gallbladder from diseases and stones.  It is a well-known fact sipping more also helps in losing weight, so what are you waiting for.

Alcohol

Studies show that having a beer or a glass of wine is healthy for your gallbladder as it keeps away from gallstone and gallbladder cancer. It promotes good cholesterol according to some studies but too much booze can harm the gallbladder so limit your intake to one drink a day.

Exercise

Physical activity is very important for our body in every aspect. It burns calories, boosts mood and protects the gallbladder. Studies have found that people who workout daily, reduce the chances of gallbladder diseases by 25%. Daily exercise for 30 minutes 5 days a week is very helpful.
