Matthew aka Matt Damon is an actor, producer, and screenwriter who started his professional acting career with the 1988 film Mystic Pizza but came to prominence with 1997 film Good Will Hunting for which he co-wrote the screenplay along with Ben Affleck. The film won Academy and Golden Globe awards for Best Screenplay. From then on there was no looking back and Damon continued to garner praise from critics for his roles as the title character in films like Saving Private Ryan, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Dogma, and Syriana among various others. Currently, Matt Damon is one of the highest-grossing actors of all time and has received various awards and nominations, including an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. True Grit This 2010 Western film is an adaptation of author Charles Portis' 1968 novel of the same name. It stars Hailee Steinfeld as Mattie Ross and Jeff Bridges as Deputy U.S. Marshal Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn, apart from Matt Damon. The film follows a feisty 14-year-old farm girl Mattie Ross who hires Cogburn, a boozy lawman to go after an outlaw who murdered her father. The story gets interesting when the bickering duo is accompanied on their quest by a Texas Ranger named LaBoeuf, played by Damon. As the three embark on a dangerous adventure, their grit comes to the test.

The Bourne Supremacy This 2004 action-thriller takes the character and the film name from Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne character from the Bourne novel, however, the plot is different. This film is the second installment in the Jason Bourne film series and was preceded by The Bourne Identity, followed by The Bourne Ultimatum, The Bourne Legacy, and Jason Bourne. It follows Jason Bourne, played by Damon, a former CIA assassin suffering from psychogenic amnesia.

Contagion This 2011 thriller film directed by Steven Soderbergh is a pandemic thriller showcasing the global response of when a deadly virus spreads worldwide, killing millions. Damon plays a newly single dad who goes to extreme lengths to protect his teenage daughter from the virus as it starts to disrupt lives. The film also stars Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Bryan Cranston, Jennifer Ehle, and Sanaa Lathan.
