Actors who have played multiple superheroes
Actors are meant to play different roles in different movies but in the case of superhero movies, we don’t expect to see that much because emotions are attached. But surprisingly there are some actors who have taken that risk and have appeared in multiple roles and most different franchise’s.
Have you ever seen Captain America catching up the fire? Or Batman in a red suit? If you have then probably you have mistaken your favourite characters with other superheroes who were played by the same actors. Yes, as confusing as it sounds, in the universe of superheroes and comic book characters, many actors with multiple characters were seen. A single actor has been seen playing different roles. So people who get into fights over Marvel and DC. We would like to tell them that this flame war is silly because the actors themselves were found juggling between the characters. So let’s check out who are those actors who have been switching the roles:
Played one of the most popular characters in the comic book universe, Chris Evans has been seen playing the role of Captain America for the Marvel universe. But very few of you may know that Chris Evans has also played another superhero character named Johnny Storm in The Fantastic Four movies. The two characters that he plays are literally poles apart, this shows how good an actor he is that he has been able to pull off the two world-famous characters. Apart from these two, Evans has also played Lucas Lee from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Jake Jensen in The Losers, Curtis Everett in Snowpiercer and the voice of Casey Jones in the 2007 TMNT movie.
Actor Ryan Reynolds has also been seen in multiple superhero movies. His first role as a comic book character was Wade in X- Men origins as an anti-hero, he then switched to the DC universe when got an offer for playing a popular superhero named Green Lantern but still didn’t get the recognition which he wanted. Finally, in 2016 his life changes when he gets back to Marvel but not as Wade but the most popular antihero Deadpool. Even Reynolds has found making fun of his own superhero past in post-credits scenes in Deadpool 2.
Halle Berry is another such artist who has performed in both the Marvel and DC universes. The characters she played are two of the major characters in the comic book world. She is most famously known as Storm from X-Men, where she has done four of its movies. But apart from that, Halle Berry has also played one of the most iconic female comic book characters Catwoman for DC.
Ben Affleck has played both The Man Without Fear and the Dark Knight. The personality of both the characters he played was quite similar. On one hand, he played the first cinematic version of Matt Murdock aka The Daredevil in the 2003 film where he was a blind lawyer who also fights crime as a vigilante, on the other hand, he played the most iconic character in the comic book world the Batman in Zack Snyder’s portrayal of Batman, who is also a vigilante who hides his real-self and saves the city from crime.
Apart from these actors, there are many more actors who have done the same, for example, Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Vin Diesel in Guardians of the Galaxy and Bloodshot, Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns and in Ant-Man and the Wasp, etc
