Interesting fact, the film's title is based on the letters G, A, T, and C, which stand for guanine, adenine, thymine, and cytosine, the four nucleobases of DNA.
Sweet and Lowdown This Woody Allen film is a dramatic mockumentary showcasing a retrospective about an artist’s life set in the 1930s. The artist is a cocky jazz guitarist named Emmet Ray, played by Sean Penn, who falls in love with a mute woman. The film is loosely based on Federico Fellini's film La Strada.
