An actress Zoe Saldaña has worked across mediums of acting, from theatre to television to finally slaying it on the big screen. The actress began her film acting debut in Hollywood with the 2000 film Center Stage essaying the role of a ballet dancer. Though the 43-year-old actress is world-famous for her roles in science-fiction movies, there is a whole repertoire of films that Saldana carries under her belt. Colombiana

This 2011 French English-language action thriller stars Zoe Saldana in the lead role. The film tells the story of a little girl whose father, an associate of a drug lord in Bogota, Colombia, is killed by the drug lord in his own house. However, the nine-year-old daughter, Cataleya, escapes with a memory card filled with information on drug lord Don Luis' business. The father tells her that it is her passport to the United States. And then, 15 years later, Cataleya becomes a trained assassin.

Burning Palms

This 2010 satirical thriller film narrates five intertwining storylines or segments of the popular stereotypes of West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Westwood, and Holmby Hills. Each narration has characters that confront those stereotypes portrayed with dark humorous fate. Saldana appears in the Maneater segment as a meek woman Sarah Cotton, where wherein a man breaks into her house and rapes her. A few months later, she finds that man's wallet and tracks him down. She approaches him, giving the story a twist.

Death at a Funeral

This 2010 black comedy by director Neil LaBute is a remake of the 2007 British film of the same name. The film features an ensemble cast of Chris Rock, Regina Hall, Peter Dinklage, Tracy Morgan, Loretta Devine, and Kevin Hart, besides Zoë Saldaña.

The Skeptic

This 2009 suspense thriller film stars actors like Tim Daly, Tom Arnold, Robert Prosky, and Edward Herrmann, besides Zoe Saldana. The film was written in the 1980s and shot in Upstate New York from late 2005 through 2006. The plot of the film narrates the story of an attorney who inherits a haunted house.
