The question is, what should you ideally use to take care of your skin? If you are confused about whether to opt for a body lotion, butter, cream, or yogurt, we have got your back.

  1. Body Lotion

Body lotions have been on the shelves of supermarkets forever. It is mostly made up of water and oil and generally suits all skin types. Body lotions feel light on the skin and have a semi-liquid consistency. It doesn't penetrate deep into our skin, and so is meant for light everyday moisturisation. There are several variants of body lotions available in the market, ranging from those made for sensitive skin to those providing SPF.

  1. Body Butter

Body butters are meant for intense skin moisturisation. They have a thick consistency and are formulated with essential butters and carrier oils. They have lesser water content than body lotions and yogurts. Rich and creamy in texture, they are a great choice when the weather is colder and drier. Those who have dry and flaky skin all year round can also opt for body butters. This product tends to have a very strong fragrance.

  1. Body Cream

Body creams, as far as consistency is concerned, falls somewhere between lotions and butters. They are an excellent emollient and moisturize and soften the skin effectively. Those who have itchy and flaky skin can opt for body creams, but, be aware that they aren't as hydrating as body butters. Thick and nourishing, they are a great option for people with dry skin.

  1. Body Yogurt

Body yogurts are a relatively new addition to the line of skincare products. They get absorbed super fast into the skin. Formulated with bio-fermented hyaluronic acid, body yogurts keep the skin hydrated and happy. They are generally made with almond milk, vegetable-derived glycerine, and fruit extracts. This product is supposed to be applied to freshly cleansed, damp skin. They are a great option for those with normal to combination skin.
