All You Need to Know about Moriwaki Engineering's Race-Spec CB350RS

To compete in a racing event, Japan’s Moriwaki Engineering gave the boring CB350RS a racing spirit and oh boy, on paper, it seems brilliant!

The Honda CB350RS is a well-built motorcycle with a decent engine and parts. However, it is not a motorcycle that likes to be pushed hard or ridden too fast. It is happy when it is ridden by those who are more into slow cruising. In short, the CB350RS is not meant for those who ride motorcycles in a sportyfashion.

However, if a person still wants a CB350RS to act like a sports motorcycle, the individual can order a racing kit specially made for the CB350RS; courtesy of Japan’s Moriwaki Engineering. The team of customizers built the kit to take part in a racing competition. In the following paragraphs, we have drafted the details of the racing kit.

They named it

Moriwaki Engineering’s customizers did not merely create the racing kit, but also named it Tetsuba/ GB350RACER. The Tetsuba looks stunning in a combination of blue and yellow paint scheme which is the traditional scheme often used by Moriwaki. To enhance the handling of the motorcycle on the racetrack, Moriwaki has changed the motorcycle’s 19-inch front wheel to a 17-inch setup coupled with Pirelli SuperCorsa super slicks.

Bolt-on kit

The racing kit is a bolt-on kit that features clip-on handler bars that are lowered as seen on café racer motorcycles. The seat is a single flat unit, whereas the rear portion features a cowl because given it’s a racing motorcycle, a rear seat is not required. Furthermore, under the engine, there is a long belly pan.

Performance mods

To increase the performance of the motorcycle, Moriwaki Engineering has armed the motorcycle with spark plugs sourced from NGK along with a newly-built full exhaust system. However, the engine has not been touched and therefore, the power figures of the Tetsuba are exactly similar to the stock Honda CB350RS. That is not all because Tetsuba’s ECU mapping is also identical to the stock Honda model.

How to get the kit?

As of now, the custom-house has not released the kit but given their history, they are likely to list it on their official website for sale. However, on their official Facebook page, they mentioned people are free to contact them regarding the kit.
