Bare Minimum Mondays: How To Plan The Latest Gen Z Trend To Alleviate Sunday Scares

Bare minimum Mondays is the latest trend on the Gen Z list and here’s how you go about it!

The Gen Z people have finally figured out a way to lower your Sunday scares where you start feeling unmotivated about working on Monday. The Monday blues typically don’t only start off from the onset of the first day of the week. In fact, you start feeling it from the evening or the night before. This probably results from the hustle culture and the burn out that people feel associated with their work life. But like everything cool that Gen Z peeps do, the bare minimum Mondays do appear as a solution. The concept is that you do only the most important items from your Monday’s to-do list and relax as much as you can. Here are a few tips on how you can plan for a bare minimum Monday!

Start With A Self Care Ritual

It’s okay to take things slowly at the beginning of the week is what is our takeaway from bare minimum Mondays. You can start by pampering yourself and relaxing a little the first thing on the Monday mornings. Drink your coffee and go for a relaxing walk. Start your day not by over-thinking all the things you have got to do on your list for the day. Take a long shower and maybe even start your day a little later than usual. Start your work on a positive note and relax as much as you can!

Do Only The Most Important Things On Your To-Do List

Bare minimum Mondays don’t obviously mean that you do nothing for the entire day! What you can do is prioritise. Meet the most important deadlines at work. Plan your work schedule accordingly. Tasks that you must most absolutely get to on the day, concentrate only on these. Sort out the most urgent tasks, complete them and leave the rest for the next day.

Give Yourself A Break After You Have Completed Your Tasks

Once you have done the urgent tasks for the day, let the rest be. For the rest of the day, relax and pamper yourself. Go on a solo date or dabble into your favourite recreational activities. Catch up with some friends or return home early from your work to spend the rest of the day with your family. Whatever you do, don’t stress yourself out overtly.
