While planting trees and saving electricity is one part of positively contributing to the environment, there are some simple day-to-day habits that immensely help in saving the environment to a great extent. It is high time to say no to plastic, of any form

The hazardous gases and chemical plastic is made of are the most dangerous to the planet Earth. Plastic waste in itself is the single most cause of pollution. Plastic is inculcated in every item that we use, for instance, straws, plastic water bottles, plastic cups, and glasses. The best and easiest way of reducing the usage of plastic is by adopting a habit of carrying a personal water bottle and refilling it. Another possible best way is to carry a steel straw and portable glass avoiding the usage of plastic.

Making the best out of waste and homemade products

There is possibly every single food item that one can easily grab off the shelves of a supermarket. Right from sauces to chopped vegetables to fruits, one can find an entire kitchen on the market shelves. But how much are we aware of the chemicals, processing, and plastic that go into making these packed necessities. You can easily prepare not only sauces at home, but also herbal tea, chopped vegetables, and fruits. Not only will this help in saving money but also the environment.

Make sustainability a habit

This is about reducing your carbon footprint on the environment. These can simply be achieved by opting for non-fuel options and keeping the air pollution-free. Instead of the motorbikes and cars, take up cycling or public transport to reduce air pollution. Another best way is to carpool.

Up-cycling and using second-hand material

People often find shame in using second-hand objects but it is a way of contributing to saving the environment from further damage. By using an old phone, car, or bicycle we are offering the thing a second life. Likewise, food waste can be utilized as fertilizers. The same goes with using reusable bags instead of plastic bags.
