Beautiful Pink Skin Animals That Make Us Fall In Love With Them

As vibrant and alluring as the colour pink is, nature has its ways of showing off with these extraordinary coloured creatures.

As a kid, we often choose shades to our will. Colouring an elephant green, a monkey orange and a giraffe yellow are a part of a toddler drawing copy. Surprisingly, nature takes inspiration from a child's colouring book and colours some species in the most exotic hues that make us wonder at its creativity. Here are some animals that own the colour pink in the perfect way possible.

  1. Flamingo-
Probably the first living organism that comes to your mind when you think of pink! The brightly coloured birds are born grey but develop the pink hue from eating brine shrimp that makes its feathers turn bright pink that are nothing but a feast to the eye.
  1. Pink Manta Ray-
As cute as it sounds, it is sporadic. Measuring up to 11 feet, it belongs to the Great Barrier Reef and has been a favourite of the whole world after being spotted by the photographer Kristian Laine. The name of the Ray has been named Inspector Clouseau after The Pink Panther and it is as adorable as the colour!
  1. Pygmy Seahorse-
Also known as the Bargibants pygmy seahorse, it is one of the best-camouflaged creatures marine researchers ever came across. The tiny creature grows up to 0.94 inches and grows protuberances on its body to look like a coral and hide in one!
  1. Axolotl-
What sets it apart from its salamander family is, it keeps its dorsal fins and girls intact for its whole life. They spend their lives on the water floor and are mostly harmless. The pink ones are charming, and you might have to curb your urge to pet one!
  1. Sea Stars-
After the movie Finding Nemo, there is no doubt everyone wanted a pink starfish in their fish tank! The colourful creatures are mostly harmless and have high regenerative powers. The beautiful colours help them camouflage in the sea beds and keep away from predators.
  1. Hairy Squat Lobster-
These tiny sea creatures are residents of the indo-Pacific ocean and grow up to half an inch in length. The funny name is derived from the pink legs and hair over a translucent body make it look even more appealing as a creature walking across the ocean floor.
