It is believed by scientists that all the Gold found on the earth is produced by the colliding of neutron stars. They were brought back on the earth by meteorites million years ago. So, the ring you are lovingly gazing now is truly eternal, and you wear a part of cosmos on your finger.

Gold is the only metal that is Golden or yellow. Many other metals may develop yellow colour after they react with chemicals or other metals. So, all that glitter is indeed Gold.

Gold is an extremely malleable element. It can be hammered into super-thin sheets which are called Gold leaf. It is used in decorating food items. It can also be hammered into thin strands and threads and sewn into clothes.
