As the automobile industry expanded, the automobile community of the world realized that it was simply not sufficient to hand out flyers and run commercials on television sets. After all, there was a time when few families had access to television sets and newspapers. Not to forget, the internet was not born and therefore; it was troublesome for a German or English company to exhibit their commodities in the entire world. Therefore, countries began to organize motor shows, which allowed the manufacturers to reveal their products to a larger congregation. Not to overlook, it allowed automobile enthusiasts and journalists to look at the vehicles in flesh and interact with the company representatives face-to-face.

Geneva Motor Show- One of the best motor shows on earth, the Geneva Motor Show, is held in Switzerland every year. The motor show was held in 1905 for the first time and since then, it has grown into a launchpad for cars and motorcycles. Usually held in the month of March every year, the motor show is conducted in the Palexpo convention complex.

International Motor Show- Formerly known as the Frankfurt Motor Show, the International Motor Show began in the 1800s. Mostly, the International Motor Show is a stage for the German automobile industry. However, a bulk of automobile manufacturers from other countries are also spotted showcasing their latest products. The International Motor Show is divided into two parts. The commercial vehicles are featured on even-numbered years in Hanover whereas passenger vehicles are showcased on odd-numbered years in Frankfurt.

Chicago Auto Show- The largest auto show in North America, the Chicago Auto Show has taken the place of the Detroit Auto Show. For American vehicle manufacturers, there is no better stage than the Chicago Auto Show. Every year, numerous automobile enthusiasts and journalists rush to Chicago in a bid to capture the brand-new American vehicles in flesh.

Auto Expo- Although there are many more famous auto shows such as Tokyo Motor Show and Auto Shanghai in Asia, the Indian Auto Expo has recently started to gain huge traction in the world. Given how the Indian automobile industry has suddenly sprouted into one of the biggest automobile industries in the world, most of the automobile manufacturers these days take part in the Auto Expo.
