Science leaves a few milestones on its way as it runs its course.The last decade has been no exception of this. Some last decade discoveries of formulas and methods that have turned the tide of new research, progress and history. I am sharing some such scientific insights with you.
Some Oldest Close Relatives of Modern Man discovered : This was one of the most important scientific discoveries of the last decade. Fossils and remains of "Hominin" species,which belong to the family "Australopithecus" have been found in South Africa. It is estimated that the hominin people lived in southern Africa more than 2 million years ago. In addition, "Homo Navi", a man of millions of years ago, has been found under the leadership of Lee Burger in the last decade. Another human species, three to four feet high, has been found in the "Philippines" with a very close contact with Homo sapiens called "Homo luzonensis".
Massive Development of Gene Editing :
Do you think that it is possible to edit or cut human genes like movies or audio! Scientists of the last decade have made this impossible possible. In this decade, genetics engineering has given birth to a very
successful gene-editing tool called "CRISPR-Cas9''. At the end of the last decade, "Chinese" scientists claimed that they had been able to edit a human embryo using a gene-editing device.The fetus gave birth to twins. However, this work was also condemned by the scientific community as unethical.
The True Color of Dinosaurs has been Found : The last decade is actually the decade of paleontologists.The actual color and appearance of various dinosaurs have been found during this decade. By examining the pigment of a melanosome found in the feathers of a fossil of a "Sinosauropteryx" living in China 120 million years ago, scientists have been able to tell what their original skin color was. In 2016, scientists confirmed the color of the skin of Borealopelta, which was 110 million years ago on Earth. The dinosaur was reddish-brown in color.
Discovery of Several Important Cosmology : The first gravitational wave to reach scientists in the last decade came from a black hole. This black hole was located more than 1.3 billion light-years away. Scientists brought the original image of a black hole in front of the public. Also, a spacecraft that could get very close to "Pluto" provided important information about "Pluto" and its moons. A spacecraft of NASA called "Cassini" has orbited Saturn for 16 years, bringing a lot of important information about Saturn's orbit.
