Bollywood films that crossed the 200-crore mark fastest

These films surely lit the box office on fire!

The craze of Bollywood in India is way too high. Especially films of A-list actors earn a lot at the box office and often break several records. Any Salman Khan movie that releases during festivals is sure to cross the 100-crore mark at the box office within days of its release. But there are few films that have broken records by crossing 200-crore mark within two or three days of its release. So let’s take a look at all the films that have crossed that landmark the fastest…

  1. Sanju ­– This biopic on Sanjay Dutt made huge noise when it released. Ranbir Kapoor showed off his acting prowess with this film and left the audience completely spell-bound. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, this film made Rs 200 crore in just 7 days and broke several records.
  2. Baahubali 2 (Hindi) – The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 broke several records one after the other. In fact, the film crossed the 200-crore mark in less than 6 days and went on to make around 250 crores since the day of its release. Directed by SS Rajamouli, this magnum opus did great in other languages also all over India and worldwide.
  3. Sultan – Salman Khan and box office record breaks go hand-in-hand. The film made 208 crores in the first week of its release and went on to make a whopping 590 crore worldwide. That’s the charm of the OG Khan!
  4. PK – Coming from one Khan to another, this Aamir Khan movie took 9 days to cross the 200 crore mark. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, PK went on to make a total of 900 crores and more worldwide till the time it was running in theatres.
  5. Padmaavat – Although the film was embroiled in several controversies before its release, this Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer only took 11 days to fetch 200 crores at the box office. It is said that worldwide the film made over 500 crores in total.
  6. Dhoom 3 – While all the Dhoom films have been blockbuster hits, Dhoom 3 specifically crossed the 200 crores faster than any other movies in the franchise. The film which stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, and others made totally worldwide over 500 crores.
  7. Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Another super hit from Salman Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijan stole several hearts with its plotline and Khan’s acting. The film earned 200 crores in only 9 days!
