Are you guilty of picking at your pimples and acnes, or have been battling with skin bumps or blemishes since when you are a teenager? Your skin sure looks beautiful as it is, but there are few blemishes that are hard to get rid of and it gets annoying for many of you. What Is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of hiding blemishes? Makeup! Right? Makeup is the easiest solution to hide blemishes and dark circles. But it might make your blemishes more prominent than hiding or covering the spots if you do not use the right application technique. We have made a list of 5 tricks and hacks to hide blemishes with makeup.

  1. Use the right primer.
Wash your face well, and apply the right quality of primer to hide your blemishes. A good primer can do wonders to your skin. It will help you cover up your acne marks and blend the spots well.
  1. Be wise with your Foundation
If you have blemishes, wearing a very heavy foundation will further ruin your skin and make the scar more prominent. After you apply your primer or pore minimiser, start with a very light based foundation. You can build up from there. Make Sure your foundation is long lasting.
  1. Conceal like a pro
Conceal it like an expert but never over do it! Remember, you need to conceal only where you need it. Filling Every spot on your face with a concealer will not help. Spot fighting is the best way to use a concealer. Try using a stick concealer for a perfect concealed spot. Use a red concealer for dark spots, green concealer for acnes, blemishes and rosacea, yellow concealer for purple veins, under eye circle, and purple corrector for yellow skin tones.
  1. Draw attention towards your lips and eyes.
Don’t stress over spots. You can easily pull off any look with or without blemishes. If you want to go foundation free or do not want to conceal a lot, try giving a dramatic look to your eyes like a smokey eyes makeup or kohl eyes. Or wear a statement lip shade like a bright red or pink with minimal makeup on your skin. This will help draw attention away from your blemishes.
  1. Use a setting spray and loose powder
A loose powder if used correctly will even out your skin tone, apply loose powder all over your face and neck and blend well to get that blemish free look. Always use a setting spray to make your face look natural, even and subtle.

There you are, get-set-GO!
