Over the years, several legendary badminton players have emerged, including amazing athletes from China, India and Europe. Among the most well-known sports in the world is badminton. We have grown even more in love with this incredible game over the years thanks to so many players. Every time we watch them play, the spectators are inspired by their commitment, drive, and desire for victory.

Lin Dan

Without a doubt, Lin Dan is the greatest badminton player in history. With a dominating career spanning more than two decades, the "Super Dan" faced no competition in the industry. At the age of 21, the Chinese shutter captured a gold medal at the Olympics. Do we need to add anything more to this?

Gao Ling

One of the greatest YONEX All-England Champions of this generation, according to many, is Gao Ling. With four titles under her belt - the most of any shutter to date - Gao Ling has a distinguished career in women’s doubles. Gao Ling has won two gold medals at the Olympics. At the age of eight, the Chinese shutter took up badminton and never looked back. Additionally, she earned an Olympic medal in women’s doubles.

Lee Chong Wei

The only Malaysian shutter to hold the top rank for longer than a year is Datuk Lee Chong Wei. From August 21, 2008, to June 12, 2012, Lee Chong Wei held the top spot for 199 weeks in a row. In the 2006 and 2014 Badminton Asia Championships, Lee Chong Wei was almost Flawless. In the men's singles competitions in 2008, 2012, and 2016, he won three silver medals at the Olympics. Moha Khalil Yaakob, the governor of Malacca, presented Lee Chong Wei with the title of "Datuk Wira."

Saina Nehwal

Indian professional badminton player Saina Nehwal plays the game. She was formerly ranked number one in the world and has won 24 international championships, eleven of them Superseries. Even though she finished second in the world in 2009, she wasn’t able to take the top spot until 2015. This made her the only Indian woman player and the second Indian player overall, after Prakash Padukone, to accomplish this achievement.

Playing badminton, Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is an Indian and one of the most accomplished athletes in India, Sindhu has medalled in multiple competitions, including the Olympics and BWF circuit, where she won gold at the 2019 World Championships.
