A shiny, radiant, and flawless skin is what we all want to achieve! But if you are maintaining a proper skincare regime and still far away from your skin goals, then there’s a high chance that you are doing plenty of mistakes in your regular lifestyle. Precisely, from waking up in the morning to sleeping at night, whatever you do has an impact on your skin health. In this article, we will talk about some common daily habits that you should avoid right now, in order to combat all the skin issues that you are now struggling with.

Eating unhealthy foods

Diet is the most important factor when it comes to skin health. Eating excessive oily foods is a major trigger of acne, blemishes, and clogged pores. Also, salty foods can cause dehydration, premature aging, and a dull appearance of your skin. Moreover, eating sugar in excess can cause several chemical reactions in the body, which can further lead you to various skin issues (such as eczema). So, avoid food items like fries, pastries, fizzy drinks, etc., and switch to fruits & vegetables instead.

Showering with hot water

We all love taking hot showers, and let’s be honest about that! It’s highly refreshing and also possesses certain health benefits. But if you are concerned about your skin, please avoid it from now on. Hot showers remove all the natural oils present in your skin and also leave the skin pores open. In the long run, it leads you to numerous skin conditions, some of which can be even critical.

Not getting enough sleep

Due to a busy schedule, most people do not get enough sleep on a regular basis. And as evidence suggests, sleep deprivation is extremely harmful to your skin health. During a good night’s sleep, your body goes through certain activities – such as blood cleansing, cellular regeneration, collagen production, and more – that further have good impacts on your skin’s appearance. Research has found that a lack of sleep disrupts the pH balance of the skin.

Also, it raises the level of cortisol (stress hormones), which can damage your skin significantly. So, try to sleep for at least 7 to 9 hours every day.

Smoking frequently, not using moisturizers, skipping out on sunscreen, using lots of chemical products, etc. are some other bad habits for your skin.
