Coolest Comic Book Characters From The Future

For the fans of comic books, the future is now. So, if you still find yourself stuck in the present, let's run down the coolest comic book characters hailing from the future.

Comic books are replete with characters from different universes, dimensions, galaxies, and realities. Some even come from the future. These comic book characters have the unique advantage of learning from the past tragedies and triumphs of those before them. If anyone from the 24th century has already read this list, try not to spoil it for the others.

Magnus

Russ Manning created Magnus in 1963. Set in the year 4000, Magnus debuted in the Gold Key Comics series, and the general premise of the future universe of Magnus is that the human race has become reliant on robots, and the titular hero is entrusted with the task of defending humanity against rogue robots and other villains who make use of robots for evil purposes.

Kang

Kang, a.k.a Nathaniel Richards, is a man from the future who was greatly fascinated with the past. This fascination enabled him to discover some time-travelling technology that he used to travel backwards and forward through time. By travelling in the future, Kang discovered highly advanced technology that could be used to defeat his enemies of the past.

Spider-Man 2099

Spider-Man 2099, unlike his many other versions, was accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider that caused half of his DNA to be rewritten with the genetic code of a spider. This enabled him to possess a superhuman level of performance and talons that folded over and let him crawl over walls. Spider-Man 2099 can inject venom and bite with his fangs and shoot webs from his body.

Saturn Girl

Saturn Girl is one of the founding members of a team comprising comic book characters from the future - the Legion of Superheroes. She hails from Titan, a moon of Saturn, and is inherently gifted with telepathic abilities. Of all the DC characters that possess telepathic abilities, Saturn Girl is arguably the strongest of all.

Booster Gold

Booster Gold was born as Michael John Carter in the 25th century. He uses his knowledge gathered from the future to be a glory-seeking braggart – he is partly an egomaniac and partly a hero. Booster Gold is hands down the world’s greatest futuristic superhero.

No matter what these comic book characters use their abilities for, they all have just one thing in common - each comes from a time, very different from our own.
