It is often misconstrued that animated movies are for kids, they some of these offer the best story lines. During the times when Lion King, Toy Story, Aladdin set the box office counter rolling, there were home-grown Indian movies that too deserved same attention but got lost in a crowd of real feature films.

Indian-American animated romantic comedy film written and directed by Jugal Hansraj in his directorial debut, produced by the Yash Raj banner had Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor
as voice over artists. The plot revolves around a dog who is deserted by his owners who move to London. Romeo soon finds love in Laila and their starts his paw-some love story.
Toonpur ka Superhero
The 2010 live action-animated comedy features Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Tanuja, Mukesh Tiwari and Sanjay Mishra. The story revolves around Aditya, who is a action star and gets caught in the lives of ‘cartoon’ characters who he earlier used to think as un-real. The film was India's first live action - 3D animation combination feature film.
Delhi Safari
The movie directed by Nikkhil Davani traces the journey of five animals and birds from Mumbai to Delhi who come together when their habitat is destructed. It is India's first stereoscopic 3D animation feature film. Delhi Safari won National Award for Best Animation in 2012.
