Dismotech Customized Aerox: A Mod-Kit Worth 98k for a 1.38 Lakh Scooter

We have seen several modified Aerox 155 in recent years. However, the mod-kit created by Bengaluru-based Dismotech is simply out of this world!

Bengaluru-based automotive customisation shop Dismotech has created a mod-kit for the Yamaha Aerox 155. The kit is worth INR 98,000 for a scooter that has an ex-showroom price of INR 1.38 lakh. So, the question arises; why is the mod-kit so expensive and what comes in the kit? In the following paragraphs, we have drafted the details about the Dismotech Yamaha Aerox mod-kit.

What is the importance of this article?

As of 2022, in the 100-200cc segment, the most powerful sporty scooter is the Yamaha Aerox 155. In fact, we can claim that there is no other scooter close enough to the Aerox. Therefore, the news of this new mod-kit is important for those Aerox 155 users who wish to elevate their Aerox’s sporty quotient to the next level.

The Dismotech mod-kit

The mod-kit by Dismotech comprises an upside-down fork at the front, whereas the rear features a mono-shock unit. In the stock scooter, the front has a telescopic setup, whereas, at the rear, there is a dual-shock absorber. The kit also includes a new braking system; a dual-disc setup at the front and a single disc at the rear.

The new braking system is likely to instil more confidence in the rider and is supposed to give better braking feedback. The brake levers too are new along with the addition of master cylinders and different looking alloy wheel shods. Not to forget, the rear tyre is slightly wider compared to the stock model.

Dismotech has anodised the additional parts in the mod-kit to enhance the overall aesthetics of the customised scooter. The kit also includes a brand-new tyre hugger that features a bit of carbon fibre texture. In short, apart from increasing the overall riding quality, Dismotech modifiers have given their best to make the scooter look like a premium higher CC scooter.

Unchanged powertrain

Dismotech has not touched the engine of the Aerox 155 and therefore, the customised Aerox with Dismotech mod-kit runs on the stock 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates a peak power of 14.75 bhp at 8,000rpm and a maximum torque of 13.9Nm at 6,500rpm. Last but not the least, as per several sources, the initial kits have already been sold and therefore, there is a huge waiting line for the next round of kits.
