When the weather gets hot, there are a few DIY face masks that can help nourish the skin and give it that natural glow.  Best of all, you do not need to spend a whole lot on beauty treatments. However, it is important to know if the ingredients are suitable to use on your skin before you give it a try. Here are a few nourishing face masks to try in the summer season.

DIY avocado and honey mask

Avocado is packed with nutrition and is beneficial for many reasons, It is loaded with healthy fats and is a rich source of Vitamin E and C. It could do wonders for the skin as it contains healing properties that could help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It could also be extremely hydrating for the skin in a face mask. To make this mask, mash half a ripe avocado and mix it with a teaspoon of yoghurt and honey. Add a teaspoon of olive oil to the mix. Leave the mixture on your face for about 15 minutes before washing it off with water. Apply this mixture a few times a week could help make your skin smooth and soft.

DIY turmeric and rose water Face Mask

Turmeric is a popular spice found in most kitchens across the country. Apart from cooking, it can also do wonders as a beauty treatment. It has been found to contain healing and medicinal properties. Combine a tablespoon of turmeric powder and a tablespoon of baking soda. Give it a good stir before adding a tablespoon of rose water to the mix. Apply the mixture all over the face and massage it well in a circular pattern. Leave the face mask for about 10 minutes before you wash it off with warm water.

DIY brown Sugar and coconut oil mask

Brown sugar has been used as a natural exfoliator for a long time. The small granules can help to get rid of dirt and dead skin cells. This could help improve your complexion over time. To make this face mask, all you have to do is combine three tablespoons of brown sugar and two tablespoons of coconut oil. Massage the mixture well into the skin. Leave the mask on the skin for about 10 minutes before you wash it off with warm water.
