Easy to do exercises for children

These are fun activities to do and keep them active

As important it is for adults to exercise and keep the body active, it is exactly the same for children. Of course, children do not need to be sitting in the gym lifting weights but some basic body movements that will keep them energetic. And when we talk about exercise for children it automatically becomes more fun and plays. The more they are trained for warm-up from the beginning the easily their body gets adapted to the idea of it. Here are some basic and easy-to-do fun exercises for children that can be performed.

Jumping jacks for the giggles

This exercise is a combination of both energy and laughter. This exercise helps strengthen muscles in the lower body, glutes, hamstrings, quads, hips, calves, and shins.

To begin with stand straight, hands on the sides and feet shoulder-width apart. Remember to relax the whole body, especially the shoulders, back, and neck.

Now, jump and stretch the arms over your head, keeping your feet and shoulders width apart. Remember to keep the knees slightly bent, as it helps in easy hopping and jumping, and lift the feet a few inches off the ground and open your legs as you jump. Repeat the exercise.

Fire in the mountain, run runrun

Children come with an ample amount of energy that is the reason you will find them not sitting in one place and always running around. Even the smallest of activities is achieved by running around for these little monsters. It is one of the simplest forms of exercising.

You can either sit for a race with them, keeping a short distance. It not only brings the zeal to run and competitiveness. Even a relay race with a goal to achieve that involves ore children becomes a fun activity. In fact, just installing in them the habit of running, in general, is a great way of keeping them active.

Hippity hop and skip

This is a means of best involvement of all the body parts and fun aerobic activity challenging balance and coordination skills.

One can either just do the simple jump and skipping or make two people hold the rope on both ends and the children can jump the rope while one can jump. You can also play skipping tag wherein everyone can skip around playing tag instead of just simply running around.
