Few general information

Germany, officially the Federal Republic of Germany, is one of the old continents located at the centre of Europe. Not only it is the second-most populous country but also the largest national economy in Europe. It is surrounded in the north by the Baltic and the North- Sea and in the south, by the beautiful Alps Mountain. Denmark has bordered Germany from the north, Poland and the Czech Republic from the east, Austria and Switzerland from the south, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands from the west. It is divided into 16 individual states. Berlin is the capital and the largest city, and Frankfurt is recognised as the financial hub of Germany.

Climate

Most of Germany is of temperate climate ranging from the north to the mountains of the south. Summers have different shades of weather, which can vary from hot and dry to cool and rainy. The average temperature of summer is around 15 to 19 degrees Celsius. Conversely, the winter is a bit extreme in temperature, especially in the south and southeast region of the country. The lowest temperature can be around 3 degrees Celsius.

Biodiversity

The entire area of this country is divided into five terrestrial ecoregions (an ecologically and geographically defined area which is smaller than a bioregion): Atlantic mixed forests, Baltic mixed forests, Central European mixed forests, Western European broadleaf forests, and Alps conifer and mixed forests. According to the data of 2016, 51% of the land area is occupied for agriculture, while 30% for forestation and 14% for settlements and infrastructure.

Economy

As we all know, Germany is the greatest economy globally, and the credit goes to their highly skilled workforce and the power of innovation. It has a social market economy with the tag of third-largest exporter and importer of the world. The automotive industry in Germany needs to be mentioned boldly as it is the manufacturer of so many reliable brands like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Audi. This industry plays a huge role in building up the German economy and employs many people.
