When she first auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club, the producers told her that at the age of 8, she was too young for the show. Her second attempt was successful when she joined Disney’s new class of Mouseketeers in 1993, along with names such as Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, and so on. When the program ended after two years, she headed back to her home in Louisiana and joined back the high school.

At the age of 10, she was off-Broadway understudy

In 1992, Joel Paley and Marvin Laird cast Britney Spears as an understudy besides the leading lady, Broadway heavyweight Laura Bell Bundy for Ruthless! a spoof Off-Broadway musical. Spears was 10 when she was cast and stayed in the show for eight months before she got bored and left the show. Her successor was Natalie Portman, another future sensation!

Britney Spears almost led a girl band at one point in time

Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC manager Lou Pearlman created a band called Innosense. Before venturing on her famed solo career, Britney Spears was the lead girl of this girl band, Innosense. In 2000, Innosense opened for Spears at a few concerts;however, the band never accumulated a huge fan base, and Britney left the project before it really took off.
