Fatigue fighting hacks for energetic mornings

A few simple steps will change your sunrises

It is all said and done that nothing gives the day a better start than a morning routine. An early start with a good stretch or a run, followed by a healthy breakfast always leads to a productive day. Well for most, as not everyone is a morning person and not everyone can be an energetic bulb in the morning. However, for some people, mornings are a rather little too difficult to deal with. So even if one manages to wake up early, the fatigue that doesn’t seem to have worn off makes one grumpy.

The struggle of wanting to have an early head start of the day and fighting fatigue makes it difficult to function smoothly. So here is a list of things one can do in order to have a fatigue-less and energetic morning start.

First and foremost, do not hit the snooze button or have several alarms placed. Slowly but steadily try and develop a habit of not hitting the snooze button as soon as it rings. There are tips all over the internet, one suggests trying the 90-minute sleep cycle hack by setting two alarms — one for 90 minutes before you want to wake up and one for when you actually want to wake up. Remember fragmented sleep has consequences on the human ability to function throughout the day.

As soon as you wake up, don’t pull your phone to check on social media updates. Instead, sit upright in the bed to let the sleepiness wear off. Close your eyes and with a smile offer a thank you to the universe for a good night’s sleep, for the beautiful morning and take deep breathes.

Then move to gulp down a glass of water. Drinking water first thing in the morning is highly instrumental in keeping the bowel system healthy. Either you can keep one water bottle or a glass of water next to your bed and drink in the morning. You can also try to consume a lukewarm glass of lemon and honey, as it flushes down the toxins and restores the body for the rest of the day.

Get down to some good stretching. The idea is not to do a rigorous workout session leaving you with no energy, well you can do that too, but to wake up the body. By stretching, so say doing yoga, brings about a healthy stretch to the muscles, opening them and removing all fatigue.
