Jim Corbett, the oldest national park

This national park from Uttarakhand is literally a paradise for bird watchers. Located in Nainital District, it is actually a heaven where you can find more than five hundred species of birds. Winter is the ideal time to be there because of the presence of a large number of migratory birds. From the mid of March to April end can also be the ideal time for going there. Chilka Lake Bird Sanctuary, Odisha

Do you want to witness Asia’s largest inland sea water lagoon? Odisha’s Chilka lake bird sanctuary is the only place for you. This pear-shaped lake of 1100 square kilometers is the largest ground for migratory birds. Therefore it is one of the favorite destinations for the bird watchers as each year so many different species use to migrate from different places. Some of them are like sea eagles, greylag geese and purple moorhen. It is also famously known as the world's largest breeding colony of flamingos. You can easily avail a boat cruise to explore the sanctuary which will be highly adventurous.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, Haryana

Located in Gurgaon, it is also famous for the colorful bird species. It also has a shallow lake made of fresh water where you can easily spot a variety of birds. Winter is the ideal time to enjoy this colorful landscape with birds.
