Few simple Mathematics tricks to blow your mind
Mathematics can be interesting!
Mathematics was a nightmare for many of us. We dreaded Mathematics as a mouse dreading cat. But there are some amongst us who love Mathematics and who found it fascinating. Well, to all Mathematics hater, there is news for you! Mathematics is not all logic; it can also be magical. Confused? Well, we have collected some simple mathematics tricks down our sleeves to blow your mind. Are you ready?
- Divisible by the number 3
If you want to impress your friend by finding a number divisible by 3, just add up the digit; if the sum is easily divisible by three so the number would also be divisible. Just a small hint for you, this trick works well with number nine.
- Multipliers of 11
A very easy way to multiply 11 with any two-digit number. You just have to add the two digitstogether and squeeze the sum between them. To explain it clearly, let’s take an example; we want to know the answer to 42*11, so we would add 4+2=6. So, now stick that 6 between 4 and 2 and the answer would be 42*11= 462. But keep in mind if the sum is in double-digit, just carry the 1. For example, in 58*11, if you add 5+ 8 the answer is 13, So instead of sticking 13 you just add 1 to 5, so the answer would be 638.
- Magical number 2
Okay, let me bedazzle you a bit. Think about a number, any number. Now multiply the number by 3. Now add the number to it. Further, divide this by 3. Now subtract the number from step 1 from the answer you got in step 4. So, what is the answer? It’s 2.
- How to memorize Pi
Now you can also flex your muscles like all the nerds by reciting the value of pi or at least the respectable first seven digits. Just memorize the line and count the number of letters in this sentence.
“How I wish I could calculate pi”, which add to 3.141592. Interesting isn’t it!
- Multiply with fingers
Everyone knows how to add using fingers, but now you can multiply by doing the same. You can do that with the number 9. Just place both your hands with thumbs extended. Now multiply any number, let’s say 5, by folding five fingers in the left hand and count the fingers on the other side of the folded hand, so your answer would be 45.
Amaze your friends with your new-found prowess of Mathematics using these tricks. Good luck!
