There is hardly any sport, indoor and outdoor, left in which India has not shown their participation. Be basketball or gymnastics, over the years; the country has seen more and more sportspersons emerging from the ghettos of India and taking up unique sports. One such sport that has crept into the veins of Indians is figure ice skating. And you believe it or not; there have been many Indian sportspersons who have taken up figure ice skating and are doing wonders. Here we know about the Figure Ice Skaters from India.

AadnyaBorkar

Indian-born figure skater based in Oman, Borkar, has formerly represented Oman at various international skating competitions. Including the 2001 Skate Asia championships held in Hong Kong, winning six gold, three silver, and one bronze medal. She is the four-time Indian national figure skating champion and has competed for three seasons at the International Junior Grand Prix representing India.

Anup Kumar Yama

In 2015 Yama was conferred with Arjuna Award. He has won two bronze medals at the 2010 Asian Games held in China and Pairs Skating events with his partner AvaniPanchal. Yama was ranked first in the world in the 'Inline Artistic Roller Skating' category at the World Artistic Roller Skating Championship that was held in Taiwan. Yama is the only Indian to have won 80 gold medals at the district level, as well as at the national level, eight gold medals, five silver medals, and nine bronze medals at the Asian level. He also holds the unique distinction of being ranked number one in India, first in Asia, and first in the entire world and has participated in iver 10 World Championships.

Ami Parekh

Indian-American former competitive figure skater Ami Parekh is an eight-time Indian ladies' champion. She was the first figure skater to represent India in 2017; she competed in ISU event and in the World Figure Skating Championships.  She has also participated thrice in the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships.

RayuduArun Kumar

Artistic roller skater from Andhra Pradesh, Kumar is an Asian Silver Medalist and has ranked Asian No.2 in the senior category and in the under-19 category he holkd that world No.5 rank. For the last 13 years, Kumar has maintained to be the national champion. To his credit, Kumar is considered to be one of the best Figure Skaters in India. He has won 12 Gold, 16 Silver, 11 Bronze medals at India's Roller Skating National Championships, and 22 Gold, 15 Silver, and 12 Bronze medals at the Andhra Pradesh Roller Skating State Championships.
