Find Out What Does Your Texting Personality Reveal About You

Ever sent a text to someone that you considered friendly, but they later admitted that you sounded cold or rude to them?

Sometimes our texts may sound too ambiguous, or the little things we do while texting may cause people to perceive our messages differently. These are often viewed as simple misunderstandings that happen because we cannot see the other person’s expression and hear their tone while texting. But does our texting tone indeed reflect a part of our personality? Find out what your texting personality reveals about you.

The Grammar Nazi

You are someone who values and strictly follows grammar and punctuation in your texts. Your love for grammar reflects in your messages. You are analytical and thoughtful, and you don’t text often, and prefer in-person conversations to texts. Your thoughts are logical, and an excellent thinker and your emotions are never based on quick impulses.

The Shortcut Maniac

These people convert even simple texts like ‘see you tomorrow’ into tasteless ‘c u tmrw’. It is often identified as the SMS lingo, which is anything but logical and comprehensible. This texting style is obnoxious, and the shortcut maniacs are usually people with poor spelling.

The One with One-Word Responses

If you have a habit of responding in just one word like ‘sure’ or the unpopular ‘K,’ then you are someone who is reserved with their thoughts and true feelings. You may also be a busy person, who has little-to-no time to weave long texts, or maybe you just don’t care to write detailed texts. You are probably an introverted person who likes spending time alone and avoids socialization because you refuse to share your emotions with others.

The Emoji Lover

Do you use plenty of emojis while texting? If you do, you are viewed as a person who does not hesitate to show genuine emotions and truthfulness. You want people to know exactly how you are feeling or what you are trying to express in the text. You don’t like ambiguity. To ensure that the person on the other end does not misread the tone of your message, you provide plenty of emojis to precisely express what you are feeling.

The Ghost

These people tend to ghost right in the middle of a conversation, regardless of how interesting and important the topic is, and will not get back to you until weeks have gone. And you are left with no choice but to accept their ghosting nature.

Do not allow your thoughts to get lost in translations when texting.
