Hair issues have become common phenomena these days. Try these simple homemade hair masks recipes to cure hair damage, frizzy & dry hair.

Our hair goes through a lot of damage every day caused due to daily exposure to harsh sunlight, weather changes, hair styling products, chemical hair treatment stress and pollution. There are many hair care products available in the market, but what better than natural home remedies.

Homemade hair masks are great for repairing damaged hair by using readily available ingredients from our kitchen. You can customise these hair masks according to your hair type, whether it is dry, frizzy, oily or wavy.

We have listed down five DIY masks that you can prepare and use for strong, smooth and lustrous locks.

Aloe Vera Gel & Coconut Oil Mask

This simple aloe vera mask is suitable for all hair types. It helps to promote healthier hair with a soft and shiny texture.

Take two tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel and add one tablespoon of pure coconut oil. Mix the ingredients and blend it in the mixture until smooth. Apply the mask to your hair with your fingers by dividing long hair into sections. Spread this mask evenly to all portions of your hair. Leave the mask on for at least 30 minutes and then rinse your hair with normal water.

Honey, Apple Cider Vinegar & Coconut Oil Mask

It is perfect hair mask to restores the lost lustre and shine back into your hair. It helps to keep your hair moisturised and healthy and also enhance their glossiness.

Take equal parts of raw organic honey, apple cider vinegar and coconut oil according to the length of your hair. Mix all the ingredients and form a smooth paste. Apply this mask to damp hair and leave on for at least 20 minutes. Wash it off with shampoo later. It works well for all hair types.

Lemon & Egg Mask

If you are using a lot of chemical products on your hair like hair spray & other styling products, then this mask made of eggs and lemon will help to improve your scalp health, remove dirt & grease from your hair.

To make this mask, you need one egg white and juice from half a lemon. Apply it from roots to ends and leave it for a minimum of 30 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Coconut Oil & Cinnamon Mask

Cinnamon, rich in anti-microbial properties combined with coconut oil, helps to promote hair growth by improving blood circulation in the scalp.

For making this mask, take equal parts of coconut oil & cinnamon. Blend the ingredients well and apply the mask into your roots and hair. Gently massage your scalp and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. Wash thoroughly with a mild shampoo. Use this mask at least once a week for better results.

Yoghurt Mask

Yoghurt rich in lactic acid helps to hydrate the hair and moisturise the scalp to prevent damage and frizziness.

To prepare this yoghurt mask, take 2-3 tablespoon of yoghurt and a completely ripe banana. Blend the mixture till smooth. Apply this mask evenly on your hair and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
